For we are young and free,
We've golden soil and wealth for toil,
Our home is girt by sea,
Our land abounds in natures gifts,
Of beauty rich and rare,
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair!
In joyful strains then let us sing,
"Advance Australia Fair!"
FOUR WAY TEST
1.
Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Di's Dialogue #4

Considering the Stage 3 lockdown restrictions we are now placed under, it is hard to maintain an optimistic outlook, but we must!

This week we had the first of our Zoom ‘Firesides’ and I enjoyed being part of the Community Service meeting as moderator. The new Chair, Bill Connell, is well supported by members of the committee and even though community service is limited due to the pandemic, there is still much that can be done to prepare for the day when we can once again be out and about.

On Monday night, Bonnie Lai, from Moe Life Skills will be our special guest speaker with Rog Taylor as the Chairperson. I had a lovely chat with Bonnie today and she is a little nervous about presenting to Moe Rotarians. It will be a good opportunity for us to find out more about Moe Life Skills and how they are coping in these pandemic times.

Robin Noakes has sent out the Zoom meeting invitations, so check your emails.

The second Monday of the month meeting is scheduled to run for 45 minutes and there will be the usual ‘open mic’ session at the end of the meeting.

My quote for this week is courtesy of Charles Darwin who was an English naturalist, geologist and biologist and is best known for his contributions to the science of evolution.

“It's not the strongest of the species that survives, not the most intelligent. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.”

Take care everyone, be safe, and if you need to go out, be a proud ‘mask-ateer’!

Yours in Rotary,
President Di
